About | David G. Roll, of Route 39, Arcade, NY. Loving husband, father, gradfather & friend, died Friday, October 28, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital, in Rochester, NY following a short illness. Born Feb. 3, 1951 in Warsaw, NY, he was the son of Wallace & Ida Most Roll. On Aug. 22, 1970, he married Valerie Young. On Feb. 14, 2004, in Arcade he married Bonnie Tillow, who survives. David was employed by Motorola of Arcade for several years and retired from Fisher-Price of Holland and East Aurora after 35 years of service as a machinist and tool and die maker. David attended First Baptist Church of Arcade and set up voting booths for local towns for many years. He was best known as a handie man who could fix anything for any body and loved to putter and do machine work. Surviving besides his wife of Arcade are two daughters Laurie (Gregory) Baumgartner of Amhearst, and Amy (Steve) Cirbus of Queens, Ny, a step daughter Krista (Todd) Cornwall of Reynoldsburg, OH, three grandchildren, Paige and Grayson Baumgartner, and Wyatt Cirbus; three step-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Logan and Jack Cornwall; four sisters, Elaine Sillaway of N. Java, Margaret Kochersperger of CA, Esther Spink of naples, FL, Pamela Norder of Hinsdale, a step-sister and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Alfred Roll. Friends and family gathered on Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 24 & 6-9 pm at the babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 N. main St., Franklinville, NY. Funeral services were held at 11am, Thursday, Nov. 3, at First Baptist Church, 229 Main St, Arcade, NY with the Reverend Wayne Aarum officiating. Burial followed in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Machias, NY. Memorials were requested by the family to the Arcade Volunteer Fire Dept, PO Box 303, Arcade, NY.
