Events	Duane “Butch” R. Williams of Arcade died on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville. He was 73. Mr. Williams was born on Jan. 11, 1951 in Springville, a son of the late Paul “P.W.” and Dorothy (née Miller) Williams. He was a die cast machine operator at Prestolite in Arcade. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling. In his free time, he also played and watched both baseball and football. He was a former umpire for over 20 years, a football referee for over 10 years and a racing official for over 40 years. Mr. Williams is survived by his son Eric (Betsy) Williams of Arcade; granddaughter Payton Williams; siblings Debbie Morgan of Machias and Dale Williams of Freedom; nephew Ryan (Cori) Morgan of Sandusky; niece Danielle (Scott) Ensell and three great-nephews Tyler Morgan; Wyatt Ensell and Dalton Ensell.
