About	Melvin Joseph Bartz of Delevan, NY passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo at the age of 69. He was born December 28, 1951 in Buffalo, NY a son of the late Leo and Rosaline (Schwab) Bartz. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Arcade and was a United States Army Veteran and served from 1971-1973. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, camping with family and attending car shows with his 1951 ton and a half Studebaker stake bed. He was a maintenance supervisor for CID Refuse in Chaffee. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Judy (Hebdon) Bartz whom he married October 12, 1974 at the former S.S. Peter & Paul Church in Arcade; his children: Carrie (Jim) Myers of Franklinville, Rodney (Becky) Bartz of Java Center, Jennifer (Josh) Dusterhus of West Valley and Kyle (Michele) Bartz of Bliss; his siblings: Roger (Cathie) Bartz of Varysburg, Joyce (Brad Phisher) Griffen of Varysburg, Gloria (Tom Dominesey) George of Sheldon and Lois (Mike) Foss of Marilla; his sister-in-law: Debra Bartz of Strykersville; also survived by 13 grandchildren, a great-grandchild on the way and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Allan Bartz and his brother-in-law, Terry Griffen. Friends may call on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 3-6pm at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 10am at St. Mary's Church, 417 W. Main St., Arcade with Rev. Vincent Becker officiating. Interment will be held in Delevan Cemetery.
