About	Rod didn't graduate, having left HS in '69. But he was a well-known local musician, played baseball in earlier years. He also wrestled for D-M. He was born in Redding, California in Feb. 27, 1953. He moved to the Western New York area in the summer of '62, to learn more of our family (Wiedemann, Davis,etc). During our life there, we first went to Arcade Central (him-) 4th and 5th, Sardinia 6th, Arcade Central 7th, 8th-10th at D-M, before leaving in the early days of Pioneer. He passed away doing his dream, living on a boat along his friend's in Ft. Myers Bay, Florida. He had spoken with his friend on Saturday, agreeing to go to the ER on Monday, for his wobbly legs (he was diabetic). Sunday was Easter, and that morning the local game warden found his body floating in the bay. He is survived by his daughter Sara Lee Whitchurch (26, from a previous relationship) of Fortuna, Calif (he got to see her graduate from Chico State in 2015 (He lived in Ca from '72 until 2016 before moving to Florida), his brother, Brad (myself) of Eureka, California, sister Tracy (Mabb) West of Ashtabula, Ohio, and nephews Shawn Mabb of Rochester, NY, and Michael West, of Denver, Colo. He also had two grand nieces, Molly and Emily, and one grand nephew, Riley (all my son's) also of Rochester. Music was his life. He was preceded by our mother, Charlotte Wiedemann (Mabb, Ziegler), in 2002 of Ashtabula, Ohio, and our father, Herbert Mabb, in 2014, of Granite Falls, NC.
