Fairport: 7/12/2014 at age 43. Survived by her husband, Mike; daughters, Katherine, 18 and Nicole 9; mother and step-father, Lois (Randy) Laney of Bliss, NY; father, Robert Parker of GA.; uncle, Alan (Diane) Severance of PA. Joy has been married for 12 years to Mike Champlin and enjoyed daughters, Kate and Nicole; a photographer and artist for more than 30 years. Joy worked as a Web Coordinator for WXXI Public Broadcasting in April 2010 Joy was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) since then she has raised thousands of dollars for the GREATER ROCHESTER Muscular Dystrophy Association and THE ALS ASSOCIATION Upstate Chapter including a generous grant from MADONNA'S RAY OF LIGHT FOUNDATION.
