About MORGANTOWN: Amy Sue Hill Collins, 30, of Morgantown, W.Va., a former resident of Oakvale, went to be with her Lord after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 in a Pittsburgh, Pa. hospital surrounded by her family and close friends. Born January 16, 1978 in Pearisburg, Va., she was the daughter of Jimmy T. Hill and Susan Cregger Hill of Oakvale. Amy was preceded in death by her older brother, Jimmy T. Hill, Jr.; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney B. Cregger; her great-grandparents, Dennie T. Hill, Sr. and Edna Hill; and her great-grandmother, Nellie Dunn. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Andy Collins of Morgantown; her stepson, Tyler Collins of Pearisburg, Va.; her best friend and brother, Jason (J-Dogg) Hill of Oakvale; paternal grandparents, Rev. Dennie T. and Oma J. Hill of Oakvale; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Cindy Powell of Pearisburg; sister-in-law, Martie Miller and family of Blacksburg, Va.; and by her granny Betty Pillow. She will be sadly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, close friends and family. She will also be missed very much by her special friend and companion, Daisy Mae, her English Mastiff. Amy was a 1996 graduate of PikeView High School, and a 2001 graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Upon graduation, she was promoted to an I.T. Specialist in the Federal Bureau of Prison's Mid Atlantic Regional Office in Washington, D.C. Missing her West Virginia roots, Amy transferred back to the United States Penitentiary in Hazelton, W.Va. She was an I.T. Specialist at the Department of Energy, Office of Legacy Management in Morgantown, W.Va. until her declining health ended her career. She loved her work, and most of all, her colleagues she met during her career. She was a member of the Kellysville Church of God. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Kellysville Church of God in Kellysville, W.Va. with Pastor Franklin Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakvale Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the Kellysville Church of God from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
