Kenneth Mitchell “John” Martin, 68 of Piketon, Ohio, died Thursday September 15, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon. He was born February 25, 1948 in Clintwood, Virginia, son of the late Clarence William Martin and Thressia Fine Lingo Martin. Surviving are two daughters, Jody Gierhart of Beaver, Ohio, Judy Mackey of Waverly, Ohio; three grandchildren and one great grandchild, three brothers, Dennis Martin and wife Debbie of Beaver, Charles Martin and wife Debbie of Waverly, Claude Martin and wife Susan of Piketon, and two sisters, Linda Mustard and husband Luther of Piketon and Kathy Mustard and husband Terry of Waverly. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Martin and a brother, Clarence Martin, Jr.
John was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam Era and a retired truck driver.
At John’s request he will be cremated and calling hours will not be observed.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home in Waverly.
