About	Carl E. Downard, 71, of Salt Creek Road, Lucasville, Ohio died Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at his home. He was born July 15, 1940 in Wakefield, Ohio son of the late Clarence A. Downard and Clara Risner Downard. On July 15, 1962 Carl was united in marriage to Betty Ellen Mustard Downard who survives. Also surviving are three children, Rebecca Downard Peroni of Parkersburg, West Virginia, David Downard and wife Angela of Canal Winchester, Ohio, Michael Downard and wife Michelle of Wakefield; four grand-daughters, Danica and Jenna Downard, Corynne and Allison Peroni; two step granddaughters, Heather McCann and husband John, Rachel Vaughn, five great grandchildren, Skylar, Braden, Hunter, Kara and Jace; a brother, Charles Downard and wife Carolyn of Cheshire, Connecticut; and a sister, Carol Jean Hatfield and husband Bill of Franklin, Ohio. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at HOWE WHEELER BOYER HORNBACK FUNERAL HOME, Piketon with Paul F. Hornback officiating.
