About	Bertie Lou Beekman, 84 of Piketon, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday July 30, 2013. Bertie was born on December 27th 1928 in Piketon to the late Ray Claytor, Sr. and Hattie Swisher Claytor. She was united in marriage on April 19, 1947 to Carl Gene “Tod” Beekman who survives. Bertie was a graduate of [1946] Piketon High School, and was a homemaker. She worked many years for the former Davis Drive Inn Restaurant and the Waverly Dairy Queen. She was a charter member of the Pike County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and was a member of the Piketon Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving are her children: Michael (Donna) Beekman of Beaver, Vicki (Arlie Jr.) Adams and Lisa (Mike) Davis both of Waverly. Six Grandchildren: Jennifer (Scott) Chandler, David (Charity) Beekman, Michael (Brandi) Davis, Tyler (Jill) Davis, Elizabeth (Josh) Lamerson, and Sean (Kasandra) Adams, and fourteen great grandchildren, and her special friends at the Waverly Tim Horton’s. Bertie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and one son, Todd Allen Beekman. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the Piketon Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Jon Black and Rev. Ronald Hines officiating. Burial will follow in the Mound Cemetery. Friends may call 5:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly, and from 12:00 noon – 1:00 P.M. at the church. News Watchman
