About Me	Let's see, what would former High School classmates want to know about me?... In HS I was an awkward, heavily introverted teenager who struggled with undiagnosed mental health issues and lived with an internal conflict of identity. In adulthood I have overcome most of that through many hard life lessons and years of therapy. I came out as gay in 2011 shortly after HS, but in recent years accepted a more pansexual identity. In 2019, after realizing how toxic, politically polarizing, and highly addictive social media has become- and feeling disillusioned by the tech industry- I adopted a digital minimalist lifestyle and deleted EVERYTHING. For those who might be reading this who were friends of mine back then, you may or may not have noticed that I dropped off the grid. Recently, I took my minimalism to a deeper level by getting rid of my smartphone and going back to a simple tech lifestyle with just a flip phone and MP3 player, as I feel that doing so has been an immensely positive and liberating choice. I would say that I am still the same introverted book nerd you knew in High School, but I have evolved into a confident, smarter and wiser, compassionate, and relatively easy-going person. I enjoy writing, hiking, traveling, museums, antique shopping and learning new things. As a vegan for over 9 years, I have a passion for adopting a "food as medicine" mindset and enjoy trying out new and tasty plant based recipes. In my thirties, around the same time I got into digital minimalism, I also ironically got into coding and have become an advocate for open source tech. These days, I am living in Cleveland, OH with my best friend working with Medical Equipment. While I attended UT for creative writing over a decade ago, I have returned to school at Cuyahoga Community College where I am getting my degree as a biomedical equipment technician, or BMET.
