Jonathan Todd Tatem, 22, of Midland, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, from injuries resulting from an automobile accident.
Jonathan was born on November 28, 1984, in Norfolk, Va., to Larry and Nanci Campbell Tatem. A 2002 graduate from Piedmont High School, Jonathan was very active in the Piedmont H.S. Marching Band, and was also a member of the Western Carolina University Marching Band, where he attended classes, and met his future wife.
Following his schooling, Jonathan worked for McGee Brothers as a Brick Layer.
On May 27, 2006, Jonathan married Kendra Slaughter in Asheboro.
Jonathan is survived by his wife, Kendra Tatem; and his daughter, Chloe, of Midland; his parents, Larry and Nanci Tatem, of Midland; two sisters, Stefani Tatem, and Shannon Tatem both of Midland; his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Jacobs, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and his father in law, Billy Slaughter, of Seagrove. In addition, Jonathan is survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins, and many friends.
