Say Goodye Tour and Concert

Join us for several events on Saturday, April 30 as the Pickens High family looks back at the past and forward to the future.

From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., a Open House will allow former students and friends to walk through the building and recall memories of their years at PHS. Areas will be set aside for graduates of each decade to gather with classmates and reminisce. This event is free and no registration is necessary.

Later that evening, the school will host a concert in the auditorium at 7 p.m. An entertaining mix of music from many genres, the concert will feature current and former PHS students. Tickets for this event are $10 and can be purchased at the school or at Peoples Bank in Pickens. Proceeds from this event will be used to purchase a piano for the new school, due to open in September 2011.

During the day, a silent auction will be going on for a number of gift baskets, the proceeds of which will also go toward the new piano as well.

Be sure to join us for this special day before this old building is closed for removal and rebuilding.
