He was born in Neodesha, Kansas and moved to Philomath in 1937. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a carpenter for Morgan Builders for any years and an officer for the Benton County Sheriff Department for 15 years. He was a volunteer fire-man for the Philomath Department.
