I flew UH-H,M and V model (Huey), OH-58(Scouts) and AH-1(Cobra). After flight school was stationed at FT Wainwright Alaska in a lift unit, then a medivac unit for 3 years. Served 6 months on the Eniwetok atoll in the Marshall Islands as support for nuclear bomb testing clean up. Short break in service before joining the Wisconsin National Guard in Madison. Flew UH-1 gunships and OH-58 scout helicopter. Served on staff of the 32nd Support Battalion in the Operations and Planning office and as the battalion safety officer. Retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4.
