The most significant event I can remember during my year at PTHS is being in the Senior Classs Play. It was entitled "Mother Was a Freshman" and my role was that of a zoology professor. Some some reason in the play, one of the girls who was opposite me (she might been "Mother") has to slap me. And she REALLY did - hard. I don't remember her name but I do remember the slap. I was stunned even though I knew the script called for it. I guess she hadf some Real Life beef with me and this was a way to let me know. Anyway the audience, as I remember, loved it. There sure was no playacting in her delivery. The left side of my face still smarts!
