About Me	My passions in life are finding that great book and reading it cover to cover, treasure hunting in thrift shops and finding clever and ingenious ways to stretch a dollar. I love to nest and make my home a place where everyone feels welcome and comfortable. I love hand-thrown pottery, old glassware, kitschy americana (I'm in Heaven when I find stuff at the thrifts that actually say "Made in the USA") and my dream car would be a 60's era El Camino to haul my thrift store finds in... painted raspberry red with pink fuzzy dice that dangle from the rear view mirror. But for now I am more than thrilled with my KIA Soul! Another passion of mine is traveling and the flame for that was ignited when I was in the Air Force and stationed in Germany. It was so easy to get on a bus back then and head for Holland, Switzerland and places in between. Since that time, we've lived in Colorado and California and finally settled here in Michigan. I've been back to Europe several times (Belgium and France) and to Russia, Turkey and Lebanon (twice). My next big travel dreams are to see Italy and Greece.
