Paul Welsh, age 63 of Marshallville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 9, after a short illness. Paul was born in Canton, Ohio to Marilyn and Donald Welsh on Nov 1, 1957. He was a graduate of Perry High School and after moving to California for a few years, returned to Canton in 1984 to take over the family business. Paul was very well known for Welsh's Floor Refinishing and ran the business for 34 years until his retirement. Paul was very active in fumbleball and softball and was an avid golfer. Anyone he met became his best friend.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald "Donnie" Welsh. Paul is survived by Melinda, his wife of 24 years; son, Joshua; sisters, Elizabeth (Paul) Stoner, Diane (Bud) Robinson, Claudia (Dave) Knepshield; mother, Marilyn Welsh-Revoldt; five nieces and nephews; and one grandson. He was a great husband, father, brother, son, uncle, great uncle, and grandfather. No funeral services will be held at this time. A memorial service and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be determined. Donations may be in his memory to Happy TailsPet Partners at Aultman Hospital.
