SARA JONES '04 PV DIVA!

In September 2008 Pequea's own Sara Jones starred in Opera Lancaster's production of "Suor Angelica". It is a killer role in a heart-crushing opera by Puccini, the master of making women suffer in song. Sara is amazing! She sang with the most seasoned and capable performers in town, and blazed brilliantly through and past them all. You can look up the story of the opera on the internet, but you should know it is one of the most tragic stories on the stage and the music is almost frighteningly powerful. Well, our Sara was in control every moment, not only of herself and of the music but of the audience. She had the audience by their hearts! When she sang her final aria, people were openly crying in the audience, just like they do at the opera in Italy. That is how powerfully Sara Jones sings. A lot of people will turn on to opera with Sara leading the way. She continues to study and perform. It is a career we will follow with love and prayer! Thank you Sara and all your family and friends.
