About	Mrs. Candi Lynn Borders Riordan, age 54, 140 Davis Street, Lindale, passed away Tuesday evening, February 3, 2009, at her residence, and her husband, Donald Wayne Riordan, age 56, 140 Davis Street, Lindale, passed away Wednesday morning, February 4, 2009, at his residence. Mrs. Riordan was born in Gordon County on October 11, 1954, daughter of the former Robbie Jackson and the late Frank Borders. Prior to her illness, she was the Nutrition Manager with the Rome City School System at Rome High School. Mrs. Riordan was a member of the Georgia School Nutrition Association and the American School Nutrition Association. She was a member of the Vann's Valley Baptist Church. Mr. Riordan was born in Floyd County on April 20, 1952, son of the late Jerry Monroe Riordan, Sr., and the late Odessa Steed Riordan. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Monroe Riordan, Jr. Prior to his becoming disabled, he owned and operated Riordan Plumbing Co. here in Rome. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. and Mrs. Riordan were married on October 21, 1972 and they are survived by their son, Jason Riordan, and his wife, Heather, Rome; 2 grandchildren, Hunter and J. T. Riordan, both of Rome; Mrs. Riordan is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Robbie Byars, Lindale; her step-mother, Mrs. Virginia Borders, Rome; 2 sisters, Mrs. Teresa Young, Rome, and Mrs. Lavada Turner, and her husband, Heath, Lindale; a brother, Ricky Borders, and his wife, Robin, Lindale; Mr. Riordan is also survived by 4 sisters, Mrs. Shirley Hutchins, and her husband, Oliver, Lindale, Mrs. Glenda Payne, and her husband, Jackie, Rome, Mrs. Nancy Burchett, Rome, and Mrs. Sue Hurley, and her husband, Dale, Rome; a brother, Rickey Riordan, and his wife, Donna, Rome; nieces and nephews also survive both Mr. and Mrs. Riordan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2009 at 3pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Culberson officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.
