About	Mr. Johnny Lynn Boatfield, age 48, Dublin, GA, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at his residence. Mr. Boatfield was born in Floyd County on December 15, 1960, son of the former Bobbie Pierce and the late John Charles Boatfield, who preceded him in death on September 25, 1998. He was a 1978 graduate of Pepperell High School in Lindale. Prior to his becoming disabled, he was employed with the State of Georgia as a Youth Probation Officer in the Dublin Region for over 25 years. Mr. Boatfield was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Hannah Boatfield Vargas, and her husband, Ryan, Warner Robins, GA and Miss Chelsey Margaret Boatfield, Butler, GA; his mother, Ms. Bobbie Wyatt, Rome; a sister, Mrs. Lisa Royals, and her husband, Karl, Summerville; 2 brothers, Steve Boatfield, Rome, and Tim Boatfield, and his wife, Donna, Lindale; his step-mother, Mrs. Jacqueline Boatfield, Rome; nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 1pm at the graveside in Rome Memorial Park. Dr. Larry Davis will officiate. The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:30am until the procession leaves for the graveside service. At other hours, they may be contacted at their respective residences. Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
