| About Me | It can be a cruel world, I just choose to side step the cruel part of it! I'm a US Air Force Public Relations photojournalist by trade, but recently retired after 26 years. My first 11 years was spent as a firefighter. Talk about some intense training!! It was a great career and has now turned (the photo part) into a love! I have many photos of people I seldom see these days. I live in Maryland with my oldest daughter. She has Down's syndrome. My younger daughter and her twins (boy and Girl) also spend a lot of time at my home keeping everyone entertained. I've served in many military roles including fire rescue man, assistant fire chief, certified fire investigator, DINFOS photojournalism instructor, media spokesperson for Air Force One and PA chief. I've served as special assistant to the Chief of Media Relations for the Los Angeles Raiders, a disc jockey for California radio station KZXY Y102 and a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild. In 1990 I served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm as a combat photographer with the 1st US Marine Division. I served during Operation Joint Endeavor/Guard in Hungary, Bosnia/Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, and Albania as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom. I've also worked hand-in-hand with the White House Press office supporting the executive branch, international leaders and celebrities during the Clinton administration. My TV and movie support credits include: The Discovery Channel, The History Channel, Date Line, National Geographic, 20/20, Good Morning America, The Today Show, West Wing, JAG, The “X” Files, “Air Force One,” “Independence Day” and “Armageddon.” I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Associate’s Degrees in Science, Public Affairs and Fire Science and a Diploma from the New York Institute of Photography. I am also a graduate of the Defense Information School Basic Journalism Course, Intermediate Photojournalism Course and the Public Affairs Officers Course. My hobbies include working with special needs children, playing drums and guitar, computers and mountain biking. I'm now working as a DINFOS Instructor but have filled many roles in the communication world. I'm still very active with my photojournalism and enjoy taking nature photos through the area.
