John was a part of a group of guys that played sports most of the day in the summer for many years. One of them was wiffleball played against the backstop at the old Shanahan elementry school (now demolished) across the street from his house. Basketball at the rink in downtown Groveland and baseball behind Haverhill Stadium were also regularly played. Good guy and athlete! RIP Bennie!
