About Me	I worked in special education with special needs students as a teachers aid, and then as a 1-1 aid with children ages 4-9 with Autism. Being married to a Military spouse in the US Navy and moving around a lot I never finished my college degree, but ending up back in NJ when applying as a Director for a Preschool in Mannington, NJ looked at years of experience and college credits as the equivalent to a degree and was hired to work as a PreSchool Director. When moving to Cape May County we transferred those management skills to Office work and I began a career in Human Resources at the Cape May -Lewes Ferry. I followed my boss to Congress Hall as the Assistant Director of Human Resources where I met a mother of a child with Down syndrome needing an aid only to end up back in Cape May Special Services Schools working with Special needs children. In 2006 we adopted a 14 year old daughter from the State of NJ’s Division Of Youth & Family Services with Special needs, taking me home, and finding a part time job in a P.T. Office where I took myself and my daughter for Physical Therapy. When I was in HS I volunteered at AI Duponts PT department every Thursday night and wanted to be a Physical Therapist so I thoroughly enjoyed working there in both the office and as a PT aid, ending up where I always wanted to be “When I grew up!” I worked there for 6...(read more)
