| About | Linda Jean (Dudley) Verzinskie, 68, of New Alexandria, formerly of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her adoring family, Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016. She was born May 4, 1947, in Pittsburgh, to the late Samuel F. and Ellen M (Adolfson) Dudley. She was the younger sister of the late MaryAnn (Dudley) Dawes. Linda was a 1965 graduate of Penn Hills Senior High, an avid reader, a dedicated friend to all animals, she loved gardening and bowling, and all who met her said that you would never find a kinder, more selfless lady to be around. Linda married the love of her life and devoted husband of more than 50 years, Norman D. Verzinskie Sr., on Aug. 24, 1965, in Verona. From their union, she leaves behind her daughters, Denise (Karl) Norman and Diane (Paul Hagerich) Calhoun. She was preceded in passing by her daughter, Colleen Marie; and son, Norman D. Jr. Linda is also survived by her grandchildren, Jessica (Wesley) Shumar, John (Stephanie) Calhoun, Karl (Marianne Agostine) Unterberger Jr., Keri (Joseph Sarp) Norman, Samantha Calhoun, Anthony (Nicole Carter) Verzinskie, Christine Verzinskie, Vincent Verzinskie and Skyler Hoege. She was also the proud great-grandmother of Gaven Sarp, Tristan Shumar, Ariona Norman, Marissa Shumar, Brayden Calhoun, Isabelle Shumar and Caleb Calhoun. Linda leaves behind her loving sister-in-law, Janice Farrow; her best friend of nearly 60 years, Julie Vasquez; her "adopted grandson", Philip (Audrey Johnston) Calhoun; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets, Ami and Sabrina. She will be sorely missed by all whom she touched. At Linda's request, there will be no visitation or service. Professional services are trusted to THOMAS M.
