About	This was on the PALMER website Kurt Winrote Obituary Kurt Allen Winrote, age 57, of South Bend, IN passed away unexpectedly Thursday, February 8, 2018. Kurt worked for the United States Census Bureau, and he has resided in the South Bend area his whole life. Kurt was born December 16, 1960 in Mishawaka, IN to Gale and Tillie (Moshak) Winrote, who preceded him in death. Kurt is survived by three aunts, two uncles, many cousins, and a good college friend Jacen Malleck of New Carlisle, IN. Kurt enjoyed cooking and listening to music. He was a graduate of Penn High School in Mishawaka, and he attended Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN. Kurt was a part of the Boy Scouts of America, and he earned the highest rank of Eagle Scout. He was also a member of the DeMolay Organization and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1021 Manchester Dr., South Bend, IN 46615. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Rd, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Condolences may be given online at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com
