About Me	I left Pendleton in a big fat hurry when I was a teenager. I graduated from OSU with a major in PE and Gerontology. That landed me a job at a stained glass shop. Six years later I went back to school as a more serious student. I received my teaching certificate from Portland State University and got a job right away at a fantastic school in Beaverton. There I taught at Cooper Mountain Elementary for the next 30 years. I loved my students and the dedicated community. I bought a house near the school in 2000 and lived in it until this last year. Ron and I both sold our homes easily and bought Mom's house here. Mom is 88. It was a win-win for all: we can help Mom stay in her home, and we are back ...(read more)
