Dale has served in both the Navy and the Wisconsin Army National Guard, while in the Navy he did 2 Asian Tours, also was aboard the USS Enterprise during the Persian Gulf war, while in the National Guard he served in Madison Wisconsin at Truax Field also served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Army, 18 Years

Dale served 8 years in the US Navy as a aircraft mechanic on A-7 jet bombers /F/A-18 Jet fighters, A-6E electronics aircraft, as well as aboard 2 Aircraft carriers, the USS Enterprise and USS Abraham Lincoln serving in Desert Storm, from there he transferred to the Wisconsin Army National Gurad where he served for an additional 9 years as a UH-60 Blackhawk mechanic, traveling to multiple states and countries in his adventures, as well as again serving in the Middle East in 2003 during Iraqi Freedom. After 17 years Dale was forced medically to reitire, returning back to Blanchardville and the Pecatonica area where he volunteers as a Fireman/EMT for the past 12 years, works as a part time EMT for a local Madison service and is enjoying watching his children grow up in the same great schools and town that he was fortunate to enjoy.

Served twenty years in the Army Medical Department including a tour of the Republic of Korea. Retired as a Sergeant First Class with numerous Army Commendation Awards as well as Meritorious Service Awards.

Sergeant Rachel J. McNeill enlisted in the United States Army Reserve during her senior year at Pecatonica High School. Since her enlistment she has been trained as a combat engineer and serves as a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) in the 826th Ordinance Company. SGT McNeill served a 15 month tour in Iraq during which she was one in only a handful of female soldiers to serve a combat role in US Army history (females are barred from combat jobs). In Iraq Rachel protected convoys in hostile territories including the infamous Camp Corregidor, AR Ramadi during some of the most difficult parts of the occupation of Iraq. SGT Rachel McNeill has served with distinction and honor and is recognized for her accomplishments. She has testified before Congress and has been encouraged to give further testimony regarding troop conditions in Iraq. She is currenty an advocate of peace and full GI benefits for Operation Iraqi Freedom & Operation Enduring Freedom veterans and works to help protect veteran rights.
