Dawn was a member of our class for one brief year in 86/87. She was beautiful girl that transfered in from South Cobb where she had been a cheerleader for our rival the War Eagles. About a week before we started our senior year she was killed in a car crash coming from a vacation in Florida with some friends and family. I met her in a special class that combined English & History called Humanities. Our teachers were Coach Gritz and Mrs. Edwards, two of my favorites teachers at the brook. She was about 5 foot 4 inches tall and had long brown hair that she usually wore down. Most of our junior year she drove a little red hatchback, but by years end Dawn and Candy McGee had both gotten Fiat X19's. Dawn's was white and Candy's was blue. I use to tease her about there being a pull cord in the dash to start it with. I don't know if many will remember her, but I will never forget her. Her favorite band was, 'Boston" and I gave her their album, "Third stage" as a gift. She was the first girl I ever fell in love with, but she kept us just as friends. I have many fond memories of my days in that class with Dawn, but most I'd rather keep to myself. I miss you Dawn.
