I went into the Marine Corps in December 1966. I served onboard the aircraft carrier Farrestal which was blown up while launching air strikes in the gulf of Tonkan outside of Viet Nam. After that I served guard duty in Norfolk Va. After that I was ordered to go to Viet Nam in 1968 where I got wounded three times. After that I was stationed in the Phillapines until I was transfered to California and got an Honorable Discharge thirty days later which was January 20, 1970.

Our Paul Laurence Dunbar High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Paul Laurence Dunbar High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
