Christopher Nolte
Class of 1988
After developing an interest in acting under the tenure of Lynn Melter, Chris began honing his skills for three seasons with Bob Madden's "RE-ACT" theatre troupe (Bob Madden, class of '86). An experience that solidified his interest in the film industry as well as other theatre companies in St. Louis. Throughout this period he earned a Bachelor of Arts from Lindenwood University.
From there he took a risk on the West Coast acting and doing live stunt work for Universal Studios. He performed in the role that Arnold Schwartsnegger made world famous in the T2 (Terminator 2) show, and the Water World stunt show (as Deacon).
Chris broke into the film industry doubling for John Cusack in "High
Fidelity" (2000). He got a tremendous break doubling for Steve Martin in the 2001
thriller "Novocaine", which earned him his screen actors guild card with the union.
He acted in the first season of "Prison Break" (2005), as one of the villians crew. He worked in six of the episodes and stayed on to perform stunt work as well.
His movie credits include both new-era Batman features ('Begins and The Dark Knight), Fred Claus and a list too numerous to list going back to 2000. He has 10 films releasing in 2008 alone, in various forms of stunt performance as of March 2008.
Chris has doubled for the aforementioned Cusack and Martin, Michael Madsen and twice for Mike Starr. He has also worked in television, from acting, to television production assistant, to television casting assistant.
