About Me	I realized, not very long ago, that most people thought I was originally from San Diego; I was not. When I was young we lived in Tivy Valley CA. (a wide spot on the Kings River) in the foot hills on the east side of the San Joaquin Valley, just before you start up toward Sequoia Nat. Forrest. We lived on a cattle ranch, and as I never wanted to move away, I moved back shortly after graduating from high school. I still live here on the river about a mile from the original ranch house. For a time we tried to make a success of raising horses for the track (not an easy business) then 21 years ago I started teaching math and science at the local high school; this was supposed to be very temporary!
