Christopher Chartier served in the 2/32 Armor battalion in Kirchgoens Germany and was stationed stateside at Ft, Knox, Kentucky, Ft.Hood, Texas and Ft. Irwin Ca.. He was a Gunner on the Abrams main battle tank and received numerous commendations during his service time.

Marine Corps, 4 Years
3 combat tours to Iraq. Promoted to Corporal and was a Machine Gunner with 3rd Battalion 8th Marine Regiment 2 Marine Division, out of Camp Lejune North Carolina. Went to The Corps most demanding specialty school, Scout Sniper. Helman Graduated and earned the title Marine Scout Sniper. He was discharged Honorably in July 2009. Great Job Helman and God Bless

I spent 6 years with 78th Div USAR and a few after being discharged I reenlisted with the 50TH Armored Division, NJARNG. I was only activated once and spent 18 days as the Detachment Sergeant with my New Jersey National Guard Unit providing support and security for Municipal, State and Federal agencies sifting thru Twin Towers debris at Ground Zero and Fresh Kills. There were Law Enforcement and First Responders representatives from all across America; Boston, Kansas City, Philadelphia and Chicago to name a few. Even though we were given white coveralls and protective masks to wear, at the end of the day we were still completely covered in white dust from head to foot. I'll never forget the smell.

Our Passaic Valley High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Passaic Valley High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Little Falls are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
