| About Me | I was born at Camp Hood, Texas during WW II. I spent most of my childhood in Pasco, Washington. I worked in the City Library during my high school years and upon graduation in 1962 took off for Mexico City where I attended two and a half years of college. I got tired of school and entered the Air Force just before Lyndon Johnson started bombing North Vietnam. I spent my Air Force time as a 203 and 204, and was stationed at Goodfellow AFB, Texas, the Key West Naval Air Station, at Tempelhof Central Airport in Berlin., and finally at Zweibrucken AFB in the French Sector of the FRG The Air Force sent me to both French and Russian language schools but I have retained very little of my Russian. I have retained most of my French. Upon separation in Germany I used the GI Bill to spend some time at the Sorbonne in Paris and then came back to CONUS and obtained by teaching certificate at Central Washington university. While in the Air Force I obtained my degree from the University of Maryland. My great passion right now is Photography. It always was but the digital age has eliminated the cost of film and processing. Politically I am a flaming liberal and used to spend hours on USENET trading arguments and insults with my opposites. That has begun to bore me, got in the way of knowing the real individuals, and never changed anything anyway. So I have ceased to spend so much time there and post considerably less than I used to; just enough so no one erroneously thinks I may have turned Conservative..
