Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ronald Kenneth (Rusty) Schulz, 57th Medical Detachment (Helicopter Ambulance) 68th Medical Group. On the evening of 13 October 1971, Ron was the Aircraft Commander of DUSTOFF 71, on a night-time Combat Medical evacuation mission, in adverse weather conditions, to rescue a wounded soldier. Aircraft was lost and all 5 crew members were killed.
