About Me Charles and I married in October, 1962, and lived in Pasadena some 20 years, where we had our three beautiful children. We moved from Pasadena in 1978 to make Kilgore, TX our home for 26 years. In 2004 we sold out, bought a motor home, and for the past 6 years we have been missionaries with the Burleson Rd. church of Christ, Burleson, TX. We say that we are..."Traveling with a purpose." lol The missionary group is called, Sojourners. Every Sept., Oct.,Nov.,Dec. Charles and I work at our headquarters in Marshall, TX. at Camp Bee. We are committed for one more year. Next June we will work some in West Virginia. Being fulltime RVers we were able to work fulltime. We worked in South TX, Montana, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Georgia, West Virginia, Penn., Missouri... helping with carpentry work, Bible classes, leadership training classes, at places from orphanages, Bible camps, small churches, Christian universities, etc. Whew! I can now admit that I can not do as much as I used to do. I am old! And I'm not laughing out loud! So...recently, we started building a house located next to our daughter between the big towns of Betty and Simpsonville, TX. lol (they are extremely small - don't blink or you'll miss 'em) We are country people once more. We should finish some time next year, the good Lord willing. Between our two boys and one girl, we have 7 grandchildren... and one great-grand-daughter. Did I mention that we are retired? lol I am looking forward to hearing...(read more)
