My brother "Butch" Hansen served our country as a submariner, ocean engineer or Nuke ! for 25+ years. He attended the Naval Academy when he graduated from Parkville HS. Butch continued service to the rank of Navy Captain (Commodor of the Atlantic Submarine Fleet out of St. Mary's Georgia). His son Joey is presently serving in Iraq as an officer in the Army. His step son and wife are serving as MD's in the Navy/Army in Norfolk, and his third step-son is serving in the army reserve.
I am very proud of him and his sons!

Started out as a Helicopter Aircrewman and Rescue Swimmer in the SH60B (SEAHAWK), stationed in Jacksonville, Florida. Made multiple deployments to the Middle East in support of Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Anti Piracy Operations. Awarded "Air Medal" for Heroism for a rescue he performed in the Arabian Gulf in 1997. Received a commission as a Naval Officer in 2004, and is currently serving as Officer In Charge of a Mobile Tactical Operations Center deployed to the Middle East. LT Keller currently resides in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife Robin and three children Jordan, Jason, and Justin.

Played French horn on public concerts in DC area and , all over the US on public concert tours, provided final honors for fallen shipmates at Arlington National Cemetery, became first woman command master chief of band, retired after 30 years

Joined 28 Jun 60. Assigned multiple times overseas mainly in the Pacific including Japan, Okinawa and Vietnam. Separated in 67 and joined the MdANG til Jul 81 and re-entered the Air Force and retiring Aug 97. Did a combat tour in South Vietnam Aug 66 - Aug 67 flying recon missions on the EC-47 searching for the NVA and the VC. Flew 107 combat missions and logged over 850 combat hours. Finished my career in the Aircrew Resource area (i.e. aircrew scheduler, crew resource manager and chief of flight management at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins , GA. Was nominated to be an aircrew scheduler for the White House. One other Senior NCO and myself declined the position due to us being very, very close to retirement and didn't want to make another move. Still it was an honor. I enjoyed my time in the Air Force and would do it again.

Enlisted in the Air Force 28 June 1960 and separated in Aug 1967. Had tours in Japan, Okinawa and South Vietnam. Did temporary duty in France, Thailand, Taiwan and the Phillipines. Did a tour in Vietnam flying recon missions on the EC-47 over South Vietnam and Laos looking for the "bad guys" fromn Aug 66 to Aug 67. Flew 107 combat missions. Separated from the Air Force in 67 and joined the Md Air Guard staying there til Jul 81 when I returned to active duty and retiring from the United States Air Force in Aug 1997. Had a tour again on Okinawa plus stateside assignments to Arkansas, Louisiana and finally Georgia.

In college, Kenneth McGinnis was the treasurer of Kappa Alpha Psi, Inc., treasurer of National Society of Black Engineers, member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and member of Society of Automotive Engineers. Captain McGinnis was commissioned through ROTC in 2002 upon graduation from West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. There he met his wife Charlynne McGinnis to whom he has been married for 5 years.
Captain McGinnis is the Base Civil Engineer for the Collocated Operating Bases throughout South Korea, 607 Materiel Maintenance Squadron, Seventh Air Forces, Osan Air Base, Korea. He is responsible for managing 500 facilities on five Joint Bases with Republic of Korea Air Force and United States Air Force. Captain McGinnis has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 at Balad Air Base, Iraq and served two tours in Operation Enduring Freedom at Forward Operation Base Gardez, Afghanistan in 2005 and Forward Operation Base Panjshir, Afghanistan in 2007.

In service 1965-1958. Graduated Basic Training at Ft. Jackson in May 1965. Received "Expert" medal for the M14 rifle. Promoted to Private E2. To USASCS (US Army Signal Center and School) at Ft, Monmouth. MOS 208.1 (later 26L20) Microwave equipment Repairman. Took Tropo-Scatter extention course. To Viet Nam March 1966. to the 221st Signal Detachment "Octopus Tropo", Saigon Viet Nam. Operated a Tropo-Scatter van to Pr-Line (near DaNang) Promoted to SP5 in April 1967. Back to Ft. Monmouth as instructor on new (at that time) 600 channel microwave systems (MOS now 26L40). Received "Award of Merit" from USASCS upon separation in March 1968 along with 2 Viet Nam service ribbons and a good conduct metal. Final discharge in March 1971

"Butch" attended the Naval Academy in Annapolis after graduation from Parkville Senior High. He entered the submarine force as an officer. Butch has had an exemplary Naval career with many awards and retired as a Captain.
