That said: I am a Registered Nurse living in a fairly rural area of NC. My husband and I moved here in 2007 to escape the expanding rat race of Northern Virginia. North Carolina has been a challenge yet has some nice features. I love small town living and the people who aren't afraid to speak or wave to you. I don't even mind my 45 minute commute since it's due to the distance I have to travel, not the traffic overload. I'm close enough to Raleigh that I can drive easily to get to city life if I want it and the Walmart Superstore is only 10 minutes away! The beauty though is being far enough away from the city that we can hear the lowing of cows and the church bells from up the road. Some of you would be amazed at all of the stars you can see on a clear night! I still don't have my mini horse or goat but I got my SUV. The next item on my agenda is a shed/shelter.
