She died in Papillion July 31, 1980, at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 28 days. In April of 1897, the family moved to Papillion where she graduated from Papillion High School in 1914. She attended Brownell Hall in Omaha for the following two years. She was married to Fred W. Rice of Omaha on June 25, 1919. She was a member of Hanscom Park United Methodist Church of Omaha for 44 years and a member of the Eastern Star for 45 years. Survivors are her daughter, Mrs. Robert Perry (Dorothy) Anderson of St. Paul, Minn., son, Fred W. Rice, Omaha, sister, Mrs. Gretchen Kenny, Papillion; grandchildren, Donna and Douglas Anderson. Services were held Mon. Aug. 4, at 10:30 a.m. at Hanscom Park United Methodist Church, Omaha, with the Rev. Donald Bredthauer officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Pauline Sorensen with "In the Garden," and "How Great Though Art," as selections. Acting as pall bearers were Carl Schmid, Albert Steyer, Dennis Cipera, Fred Fricke, James Bell and Cyril Maycock. Interment was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Omaha.
