Events	William L. "Bill" Langdon (65) Nov. 25, 1946-Aug. 9, 2015 passed away peacefully Aug. 9, 2015, at MountainView Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces. Services will be Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at Baca's Funeral Chapel with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. and funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. The Rev. George Soria will officiate. A memorial service will be held at a later date in his home town of Papillion, Nebraska. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska, to Leroy and Jean Langdon on Nov. 25, 1946. Bill graduated from Papillion High School in Papillion in 1965, where he excelled in baseball, football and basketball. In recent years, Bill was a private investigator. He began his professional career in retail store management, including store manager for San Antonio-based Gulf Mart and Farmers Market in Deming, New Mexico. Bill and his wife owned Cash Mart Pharmacy in Hobbs and Cardinal Drug in Eunice, New Mexico. Later he owned Cash Mart Foods in Las Cruces. Taking a break from the retail industry, Bill started a trucking business and was an over-the-road truck driver. Bill enjoyed traveling, watching the Chicago Cubs play baseball and reading. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis; and sisters, Nancy and Betty. Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia (Tris) McSherry, along with many nieces, nephews, family and good friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Bill's favorite charity Helping Hands in Deming, to aid in their efforts to fight hunger in Luna County.
