Events	Deloris "Dee" Marie Christie (41) Born: August 18, 1924 Passed: November 12, 2018 Deloris "Dee" Marie Christie, daughter of Alfred and Louise (Dahmke) Laschansky, was born on August 18, 1924 in Chalco, Nebraska. She passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Elm Heights Care Center in Shenandoah, Iowa at the age of 94. Dee's early life was spent on a farm near Papillion and Omaha, Nebraska. She graduated from Papillion High School. After high school she attended business school in Omaha. Following business school she worked as a bookkeeper at Provident Savings & Loan and as an executive secretary for National Indemnity both in Omaha. On December 22, 1968, Dee was united in marriage to Richard "Dick" Christie at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Millard, Nebraska. They resided in Omaha, Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa before settling in Shenandoah. Dee was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was a good bowler and loved to golf, even had a hole-in-one on July 17, 1963 at the Plattsmouth Golf Course. She enjoyed time with friends and spending time at the casino. Dee was preceded in death by her husband Richard "Dick" Christie (2011), parents Alfred and Louise Laschansky and sister Sylvia Bargar. She is survived by her nieces Susan Patterson of Hollis, New Hampshire and Kathryn Winters of Naples, Florida, nephew Tom Bargar of Lincoln, Nebraska, many great nieces and nephews, brother-in-law Keith Christie and wife Eloise of Algona, Iowa and special friend Phyllis Funk of Shenandoah. Many thanks to the staff at Elm Heights Care Center for their care and concern. May God grant comfort and strength to those who mourn her loss. Celebration of life memorial service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, November 16, 2018 at the Hackett-Livingston Funeral Home in Shenandoah. Memorials may be directed to the Elm Heights Care Center Activities Fund. Burial of cremains will be held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah.
