Events	LuRee Eileen Nelson (42) JANUARY 7, 1925 – MAY 17, 2018 uRee E. Nelson was born on January 7, 1925 in Papillion, Nebraska to Albert and Ella Wittmuss and passed away on May 17, 2018. She was baptized at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Papillion in 1925 and was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Millard. LuRee attended Papillion Public Schools and graduated as class salutatorian in 1942. She married Grove E. Nelson of Millard on June 15, 1946 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Millard. During her marriage to Grove, LuRee enjoyed raising her four sons, golf, cards, dancing and socializing with her many friends in Omaha and in Ft. Myers, Florida during the winter months. In June, 1996, Grove and LuRee celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. LuRee is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: George and Kathy of Omaha, Nebraska, Greg and Diane of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and John and Lisa of Inverness, Florida. She is also survived by seven grandsons: Dax, Geoffrey, Brent, Eric, Kevin, Derek and Dylan, three granddaughters-in-law, eight great-grandchildren, and by brother and sister-in-law, Wilbert and Delores Wittmuss of Papillion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grove, her son, Curt, her parents, and by her grandsons Tyler and Stephen. Visitation will be at Kahler Dolce Mortuary in Papillion from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday, May 20th. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Millard at 10:30 AM on Monday, May 21st. Memorials may be directed to The Millard Education Foundation, Grove E. Nelson Scholarship Fund, or to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
