Events | Brent J. Schieffer (90) June 28, 1972 - March 20, 2009 Brent J. Schieffer, 36, of Littleton, Colorado, died Friday, March 20, 2009. Brent was born June 28, 1972 in Yankton, South Dakota to Roger and LeAnn Schieffer. He was baptized, made his first communion, and confirmation at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton, Nebraska and attended St. Rose School for eight years. He graduated from Papillion LaVista High School in Papillion, Nebraska in 1990. Brent graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He also played football for the Wyoming Cowboys from 1990-1995. On July 29, 1995, Brent married Adrienne Hoffschneider in Littleton, Colorado; and was the General Manager for Central Ready Mix. Brent was an avid sports fan and he spent all of his free time watching and coaching his children's basketball, football, and swimming events. Brent and his family are active in school and the church. Brent is survived by his wife Adrienne; four children Kaitlyn, Connor, Brenna, and Calahan; parents Roger and LeAnn Schieffer of Crofton, NE; one sister Becky (Andy) McQuistan of Sioux Falls, SD; two brothers Clint Schieffer of Sioux Falls, SD, and Cody Schieffer of Crofton, NE; and grandmothers Catherine Bockholt of Crofton and Dorothy Kralicek of Yankton. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Victor Schieffer, Donald Kralicek, and Sylvester Bockholt. Viewing begins Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 6:00 PM followed by a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM; Funeral services will be Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 10:30 AM, all at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Littleton, Colorado. Interment follows at Littleton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any 1st Bank Colorado location for the Kaitlyn, Connor, Brenna & Calahan Scholarship Fund |
