U.S. Army WWII in the Army Air Corps as a pilot. He flew Martin B-26 airplanes and continued to serve in reserve unit, later with the Air Force, for military through the 1950's April 7, 1920 - December 23, 2016 Borman, Harold Frederick Apr 7, 1920 - Dec 23, 2016 Harold Frederick Borman, 96, passed away in Lincoln, NE surrounded by family. He was born in Omaha, to Cordelia Gramlich Borman and Herman Frederick Borman. He graduated from Papillion High School in 1937, and attended UNL on a Regent's Scholarship from 1937-1940 with a Degree in Agriculture. He was a member of Alpha Zeta honorary fraternity. He Served in WWII in the Army Air Corps as a pilot. He flew Martin B-26 airplanes, and continued to serve in the Reserve Unit, later with the Air Force, through the 1950's. He worked in farm management in Omaha and DeKalb, IL, and was Secretary-Treasurer for the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers from 1961-68. He worked for the last 20 years for the National Bank of Commerce in Lincoln, NE. He met his wife, Marjorie Lorraine Stearns, at the First Presbyterian Church in Omaha, where they married on May 29, 1960. They had 3 daughters and were married 56 years. Harold, Marge, and family were active in the United Methodist Church throughout his adult life. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; daughters, Deb (Jim) Ring, Patty (Andy) Bohart, and Kathryn Borman; and grandchildren, Isaac Bohart, Sam Bohart, Cordelia Ring, Eliza Bohart, and Karl Ring. VISITATION begins at 2pm Tuesday, with family Greeting friends 6-8pm at the Funeral Home. FUNERAL SERVICE on Wednesday at 10:30am, December 28, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lincoln, 1144 M Street. Memorials to St. Paul United Methodist Church.
