Maynard Eugene Talley, III was born in Nogales, Arizona on October 22, 1957 to Maynard Eugene Talley, Jr. and Betty Smoot Talley. Maynard passed away at his home in Cave Creek, Arizona on June 18, 2015. He is preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Ceclie Ann and Lindsey Gene. Maynard is survived by his mother Betty and brother William. Maynard proudly served our country in the U S Navy for 22 years where he attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer in the Submarine Service. Upon retirement from the Navy, Maynard made his home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He traveled extensively throughout the US in his motor home and was a long-term member of a billiards league. Maynard was also an avid reader and had a very large collection of books. He recently moved back to Arizona to be closer to his family. He will be dearly missed. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26th at 10:00 AM at Shadow Mountain Mortuary Chapel, 2350 E Greenway Rd, Phoenix.
