| About Me | I am a mother of three very busy children.I married Jim Gilbert when I was 18 years old and had Jim, 43,and Jodi,42. When Jodi was 10 months old and Jim was 20 months old, Jim died on pikes peak. Fifteen years later i married Richard Gilbert and had Ryan, 27. Jim has two children Micayla,12, and Cayden, 8. Jodi has three children Tucker, 17 (18 in july), Taylor,14, and Tanner, 10. Ryan is getting married this Fall to Claire Hamilton. On December 2, 2006, i was dianosed with Non-hodgekins Lymphoma cancer. I was then given Chemo and radiation treatments and i was completely cancer free...and hair free. My kids all went with me and bought me a wig. I was just lately diagnosed with skin cancer on my leg and now have a "tight", as Taylor says, scar and am, once again, cancer free. And when my kids are at work and my grandkids are at school I watch Jodi's dogs. So I am a child caretaker and a... dog caretaker...? My favorite thing to do is to be with my kids and grandkids, even if that means going back and forth from denver three times in 1 weekend (which is not an uncommon thing for me to do).
