Favorite School Memory	PHS high school band friends and the church youth group I attended and hung out with at The Place, coffeehouse at the First Methodist Youth Group Buidling on Friday and Saturday nights.
About Me	I worked in radio and newspaper advertising and education (among other things) and was an extra in a movie made in NM. One of my good friends produced people like Stevie Ray Vaughn and Joan Jett and I spent a lot of time learning about the US music industry in the 1980s and 1990s and hanging out in his office. I am a high school teacher (history and English) but lucky for me, in this part of the country many of the teachers are very creative and Bohemian. (Remember this is the state where they filmed Easy Rider). I guess all those 11 years of living in Dallas-Ft. Worth taught me how important it is to be a professional and I am really that as well! I have been in a band. Most of my most interesting friends were either musicians or artistis. I live in a town in NM that is full of Bohemian types more interested in the environment than owning things. I stayed away from the people who did drugs and substances...still won't even be in the same room with a smoker. I lost both of my parents within a year and a half of each other and I lost my daughter.Her dad also died. I was in three automobile accidents that I did not cause since high school so I have no sympathy for people who drink, drive, and run into other people. All that being said, I value my life and am so grateful to be alive and fully fuctional because I could have died in several of those car crashes but you either are bitter or value your life and those you love if you experience horrible things. I chose to go on and love and care about other people. I worked very hard and supported myself and my daughter. I did have time to explore my own heritage and family tree.
