| About Me | After graduating I moved to Florida and began attending college that following spring. I recieved my vocational certificate in Early Childhood Education as well as my National CDA in that same field. I have recieved numerous awards and scholarships for my academic achievements as well as volunteer work. I recieved the 'Committment to Success' award during my last graduation at Seminole Community College as well as a travel scholarship to go to Salzburg,Austria and Germany for 2 weeks! That was an amazing experience I will never forget. That same year, I recieved a scholarship for the Hispanic Students and have been a dedicated volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce since then. I have gone through some tough obstacles as well; had breast cancer tissue removed 5 years ago, as well as had surgery last year (2008) for cervical cancer/endometriosis/ovarian cysts. I am atill recovering from that and hope to be able to become a mother someday. Despite being homeless at times and having injuries beyond normal recovery, I remained in school and pursued the career of a preschool teacher. Earlier this year, I met my fiancee and moved to Hawaii where he was stationed after returning from Iraq. We moved to Alabama this past summer, where he is now stationed at Fort Benning.
