Carol Chien was in my art class at Palatine High School . She had the most lovely smile. She was a talented artist and very smart in other areas. I found out later that she became an adventure seeker and mountain climber. She was brave and adventurous. She passed away doing what she loved. RIP dear lady.

Carol was one of the most humble, talented and kindest individuals I remember from high school. She was always willing to help and made others feel special and included. She, her sister Jeannie, mother and father were an amazingly close family with such a strong sense of mission and spirituality.
