This is the Paint Valley Class of '97 Unofficial 13th Reunion Bonfire and BBQ! THE DETAILS: WHO: Class of '97 graduates and their families. Bring your kids/partners/spouses! ... WHERE: Haas Airport on Rt. 50 just outside of Bainbridge. If you need directions, just let me know! We'll hopefully have a bonfire in the field next to the hangar and it will definitely be visible from the road, so you can't miss it. In the case of rain, the event will be held inside the hangar. WHEN: Saturday November 6 from 5 to 8 PM. Come for just a little bit or stay the whole time. But definitely try to show your face for at least a few minutes! FOOD: If you'd like to bring a dish to share, you are more than welcome, however the main dishes & drinks will be provided. (Standard BBQ fare: brats, hamburgers, chips, baked beans, veggies, a big ol' pot of chili or chowder...and whatever else I can come up with!) If you have any special dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten free, etc.), let me know and I will do my best to accommodate! WHY:It's been brought to my attention that the time for our 15th reunion is quickly approaching (eep!) and since there was no 5th or 10th reunion, the 15th needs to be a big event! The main purpose of this BBQ/bonfire is to give everyone the opportunity to reunite with classmates you haven't seen in awhile and catch up on the happenings of the last 13 years. Kids, careers, travels, successes, failures...I'm sure we've all seen a little bit of everything since we graduated and now's the time to come together and share your experiences. The other purpose of this event is to choose a 15th reunion chairperson and form some committees to get the planning underway. So, if you have any ideas OR you would like to be the reunion chairperson or a committee head, be sure to come! I know that there are several of you out there who have indicated interest in helping, so this will be your chance to step up and let your voice be heard! Of course, if you are unable to come but would still like to help, definitely let that be known as well and whomever becomes the chairperson can contact you at a later date. RSVP: PLEASE let me know by Thursday November 4 if you are able to attend and also how many will be attending with you. I just want to get a ballpark count so that I know how much food to make!
