About Me	I call myself an Oprah guy - my life has been a great Oprah story. As child I was a vicitim of one of the worst cases of child abuse the state of North Carolina had ever seen. I was taken away at 5 from my birthmother (she was in and out of mental institutions three times) and placed in an Orphanage. At 7 through a court mistake I was returned to her and my stepfather. I was beaten and had other very bad things happen again. I was taken back to the Orphanage in Charlotte. I lived in a foster family for a year and in a group home in Greensboro. Through the help, love and kindness of friends I have managed to make it through life. Graduated college from the University of North Carolina. All has not been perfect. I've been homeless a couple of times but have always managed to land back on my feet. I strongly believe in loving my fellow man that all are equal. I am proponenet of healthcare for all as I have needed the services of community health centers when I could not get health insurance. I had Six way heart by pass surgery in 2010. Still here!
